You are shaping the Permaculture Movement and we need you at the table. Join the IPC16 online Strategic Conversations this November

The global Permaculture movement is evolving: connection and meaningful collaboration is needed to meet the challenges ahead. As part of IPC16 ONLINE, the International Permaculture CoLab is hosting a series of Strategic Conversations designed to bring important movement actors together to share ideas and experiences, opening a space for conversation and exchange.

Over the course of five days, 11 – 15th November the International Permaculture CoLab will facilitate 10 sessions, with a multitude of topics across different permaculture domains. We invite associations, educators, organisations and networks to take part.

This is not a one time event that starts and ends during these sessions but the start of a longer term collaboration to move the movement forward to meeting the challenges the world is going through.

Featured Ethical Digital Tool - Nextcloud

Nextcloud is an open source tool that replaces Microsoft Office and Google Drive apps. For organisations that hold Permaculture Ethics close, Nextcloud is the suite of tools that meets your organisation’s office suite needs without sacrificing or compromising your ethical standards.

The Nextcloud instance we provide is hosted in Europe, on servers that are GDPR complaint and powered by renewable energy.

Within Nextcloud you will find a word editor, spreadsheet programme, presentation tool, forms you can use for sign ups, feedback forms and surveys, whiteboard app to draw / create together, calendar, contact, and announcements. Collaborative editing and sharing permissions are versatile using access groups, this is especially useful if you have different working groups and project teams.

If you’re interested in trying NextCloud the Digital Circle is offering free demo accounts to organisations which you can test with some of your key people.

Partnering for Impact - a free Funding Circle Services webinar

Partnering for Impact is the third session in a series of webinars provided by the Funding Circle Service team to build the Permaculture movement’s funding capacity and readiness. The webinars are offered free of charge and are funded by the International Permaculture CoLab through the GROW project.

This and other webinars builds on the Funding Readiness resources already published.

30th September 2026
16:00 - 17:30 UTC (check the time in your own timezone here)

During this session you will learn how to plan and set up a joint funding bid including:
· Planning out the program or project, the infrastructure such as monitoring and evaluation, reporting etc.
· Selection of partners, identifying and selecting funding bids/calls, shared communication, roles/responsibilities.

You will also learn how to identify if you are ready to participate in a joint project. We will briefly go over the funding readiness check which you can then take in your own time.

This session is for Networks, Organisations, Associations and community groups who are funding ready and are looking to set up joint projects, and apply for funding together to fund those projects.

If you are looking for partners we would like to invite you to join the International Permaculture CoLab and share more about your projects and what you are looking for in a partner.

Donations are gracefully accepted for the Funding Circle Community Fund
helping grassroots projects to access professional fundraising services.

Resource of the Month

Ethical Marketing for Permaculture Projects

In this free introductory session we explored the essentials of ethical marketing for regenerative and permaculture projects. We covered how to communicate your purpose clearly, understand your audience, and begin building a message that resonates deeply – without relying on exploitative tactics.

Designed for changemakers, this session offers a refreshing alternative to traditional marketing advice, aligning communication strategies with permaculture principles. We covered how to market like a flower, spread good news like a bumblebee, and understand your audience like a mycelium. This document is a PDF with links to the session design, recording and presentation.

This document was produced by Minimum Viable Academy. This work was funded by the Next Steps Project as part of the International Permaculture CoLab.
