Our digital lives are deeply dependent on a small number of proprietary platforms.
This centralisation limits autonomy, locks communities into closed ecosystems, and puts essential infrastructure in the hands of actors whose interests don’t always align with the common good & permaculture ethics.
The the European Permaculture Network (EuPN) together with The Digital Circle, is joining Digital Independence Day (Di.Day) — a monthly, practical invitation to take one small step away from Big Tech.
Digital Independence Day takes place every first Sunday of the month. Each session focuses on switching from one proprietary service to a free / libre / open-source alternative, with shared learning, guidance, and space for questions.
