View on Community Space (opens in new tab)I gained my PDC in 2017 and my diploma in 2021. My passion is teaching school kids how to grow vegetables and appreciate the environment. I worked for three years with a South Auckland (New Zealand) school developing a permaculture programme, designing and building Te Maara Kai o Wirihana (the food garden of Wirihana, the local Maori chief) at [https://www.facebook.com/manurewagarden/](https://www.facebook.com/manurewagarden/) which I am very pleased, and proud to say it is still going after 6 years.
I also developed and taught a modular PDC which was presented on our certified organic farm outside Auckland once a month for 12 months. This is a up to date version of the traditional PDC developed by Bill Mollison. It ran for three years and was highly regarded. This winter (2025) I will adopt it for Irish conditions and hope to present it again starting next year.
