Mapping Permaculture Business Models Full Report with Case Studies – This document is the complete written outcome of the research project Mapping Permaculture Business Models. It brings together all interviews, analysis, reflections, and frameworks developed throughout the process. The report explains the methodology, shares the insights gathered from diverse practitioners, and presents the different tools created to understand how regenerative organisations function. It is formatted as a long, multi-page PDF meant to be read digitally or printed as a full report.
Research Guide for Permaculture Business Models – The research guide is the framework and design process we used to develop the project. It is a multi-page PDF format.
Permaculture Business Models Archetypes Poster – This item is a visual poster that maps different types of permaculture inspired business models. It’s designed as an infographic, showing key archetypes and how they relate to each other in a clear, graphic layout. The file is a PDF consisting of three pages, formatted like a poster for easy viewing, printing, or sharing.
Permaculture Business Models with Permaculture Zones – This document applies the classic permaculture zones to the structure of a business. It breaks the organisation into three main areas: the source (inner purpose and people), the organisation itself (the core activities and operations), and the wider ecosystem (community, culture, partners, and bioregion). The graphic uses a semi-permeable boundary to show how the organisation interacts with its environment. It’s laid out as a clear, visual board and provided as a one-page PDF for digital use or printing.
Permaculture Business Models with Flows of Value – This document visualises a permaculture inspired business model as a living system. It shows the different parts of an organisation, the types of capital it works with, and how value moves between teams, partners, ecosystems, and communities. The graphic uses a semi-permeable boundary to highlight that organisations interact constantly with their environment. The file is a one-page PDF laid out like an explanatory board, meant to be viewed digitally or printed for workshops.
This work was funded by the Next Steps Project as part of the International Permaculture CoLab.
