Objectives 2025
This project will provide permaculture practitioners with practical, engaging ways to communicate their impact.
We will produce an action-learning challenge for Colab members, in which they will use storytelling, visual tools, and real-world actions to communicate their outcomes.
Our aim is to empower projects to secure funding, partnerships, and greater recognition—amplifying permaculture’s global impact.
Our objectives are to:
1. Develop a gamified action-learning challenge to help permaculture practitioners improve how they communicate the outcomes and impact of their work. (Specific)
2. Create 4-5 interactive chapters (slideshow format) with practical challenges for participants to complete. (Measurable)
3. Use existing knowledge from the Permaculture Impact project and networks to co-create a lightweight, engaging format. (Achievable)
4. Strengthen the ability of permaculture projects to tell their story, secure support, and amplify their impact. (Relevant)
5. Release the first challenge within 4 months, with the full sequence completed within 6 months. (Time-bound)
Expected Outputs
We will produce 4 or 5 interactive challenges around communicating your project’s impact that are offered to CoLab members over a period of several weeks. People are invited to complete their challenges and share with the CoLab in the new #communicate-your-impact channel.
Intended Outcomes
Our intention is to generate interest and excitement about communicating and celebrating our successes and achievements as permaculture projects.
After participating in our challenges, participants will be able to use practical and engaging ways to communicate their impact.

outcomes 2025
We created and released five lightweight and fun challenges and invited CoLab members to join the challenge. Several people did, and shared their impact stories, and gave feedback. The challenges will remain available to CoLab members via the community platform, and an adapted version will soon be available as a short action learning course from https://permacultureimpact.org/
